Mr. El Hamati has been a veteran of the construction sector for over 27 years. He worked in the region since 1983 with his first assignment in the UAE with Dubai Contracting Company L.L.C where he worked from 1983 to 2002.

After leaving DCC in 2002, he joined Arabtec Construction L.L.C as an Executive Director and recently has been appointed as the Chief Operations Officer (C.O.O). He has worked on ground-breaking projects like Al Fattan Marine Towers, The Address Hotel- Downtown Burj Dubai, World Central International Airport, Dubai Sports City Stadium 1 and 4, Silverene Twin Towers, Ocean Heights, Infinity Tower and many others.

Mr. El Hamati was appointed Member of the Board of Directors of Arabtec Holding, PJSC in March 2010.

Mr. El Hamati holds a B.Sc and M.Sc with Honors in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Oklahoma State University, USA.
