Project Description

The project is a renovation and expansion of Dubai International Airport Terminal 1 which totals a contract value of AED184 million by Dubai Civil Aviation. The renovation started in September 1997 and was completed in March 2001.

Dubai International Airport Terminal 1 or Sheikh Rashid Terminal is one-kilometre long which can accommodate a total capacity of 40 million passengers. The terminal is used by 113 airlines and is connected to Concourse 2 by an underground 300-metre tunnel.
