Dubai Sports City Stadium 1 is a “Multi-purpose Indoor Stadium” and is located in Dubai Sports City, at Sector 67 Dubailand, with a contract value of AED 229,800,000. The Indoor Multipurpose Stadium or S1 will be a major component of the sporting facilities that are being developed at Dubai Sports City. It will be to international standards capable of hosting international events for a variety of sports, concerts and shows.

The stadium will provide a minimum of 10,000 permanent seats. Arabtec-Max Boëgl JV currently proposes to redesign the project by doubling its original capacity and offering more functions. The fully-roofed dome will be a steel construction with a diameter of 136 metres and a maximum height of above 55 metres above pitch level. Stadium S1 will be located between the multipurpose outdoor stadium S4 and the retail mall.

The rich architectural history of Arab architecture is the role model for the structure of the new stadium. Traditional shapes are translated in modern building structures. The architectonic shape symbolises mobility, vitality, harmony and development.
