Infinity Tower is on the path to becoming a new landmark for Dubai; a project that will come to be viewed as the epitome of 21st century architecture.

Located in the Dubai Marina development, Infinity Tower is a 73-storey residential tower with a dynamic, twisting shape and waterfront views. It is the first structure of its kind and will be 80 storeys high and the dominant feature on Dubai Marina’s landscape. It will also be the world’s tallest tower to feature a 90-degree twist, a masterpiece of contemporary style, with its helix shape revealing a structure that helps shield its interior from the desert sun.

The structural system for the tower is high strength with a reinforced concrete column superstructure that rotates with the twisting shape. In addition, each floor will accommodate a 1.08-degree twist to achieve the full 90-degree spiral.

Amazingly, there is not a single structural pillar anywhere inside the building; instead it is supported via a complex concrete column structure that holds it up from the outside, although a central service core remains. The tower will be clad in metal panels with staggered glass to maximise the penetration of daylight to the apartments, creating something that will shimmer in the bright sunlight in a mixture of different reflective materials. The top is crowned with a hollow latticework that continues the metallic rectangular cladding pattern. Vertically doubling in height with every one of the final levels, it expresses the shape of the structure in the sky.

Six numbers of high speed lifts shall be installed with a speed of 8.0 metres per second to accommodate the use and resident of this 307 metres high rise tower.

Infinity Tower is located next to the Dubai Media City and opposite to the Jumeirah Lake Towers, as well as being close to The Torch and The Princess Towers. It will have a total of 80 storeys and was designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill. It will contain studio, one, two, three, and four- bedroom apartments, along with 11 loft floors and three penthouse floors. Amenities at Infinity Tower include a landscaped podium, retail outlets, children’s nursery, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pools, built-in wardrobes, high-speed Internet, and outdoor tennis court.
