1975

Arabtec established as a construction firm.

1976

Arabtec awarded its first high-rise project with the 17 storey Pearl Building.

1983

Arabtec began its long-term involvement with the (industrial) oil & gas sectors in Abu Dhabi.

1984

The completion of the Abu Ghazaleh Building in Sharjah marked Arabtec’s first turn-key project involving design and construction. It was also the first time Arabtec had used a formwork system and technology called, Tunnel Form.

1988

Arabtec completed the West Mubarraz Oil and Gas Processing plant, one of its biggest projects for ADOC with a value of more than AED 120 million.

1989

Arabtec continued to employ formwork technology in many projects and in 1989, the company successfully adapted this system for use in the construction of a 2,200 villa development in Dubai and has since utilized the same technology on numerous residential projects. 

1992

Arabtec expanded its presence in the villa sector with the construction of Al Garhoud Residential Complex.

1995

Arabtec made its mark on the aviation world, beginning with the Emirates Airline Engineering Store and has gone onto complete a diverse range of airport projects.

2001

Arabtec constructed the award winning  21st Century Tower for Rostamani Real Estate and was also awarded its first villa contract by Emaar, which marked the beginning of a long and ongoing relationship.

2004

Arabtec, with Samsung and Besix, started construction on the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.

2004

Arabtec Holding PJSC became publicly listed under the symbol “ARTC” on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM), the first construction company to go public in the UAE.

2008

Arabtec awarded 'Top UAE contractor' by Construction World Gulf Awards 2008.

2009

Arabtec ranked as the 104th largest Global Contractor according to the Engineering News Record.

2010

Arabtec, with Samsung and Besix, completes Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

2011

Arabtec awarded contractor of the year by Big Project Middle East.

2016

Arabtec awarded a 5-star rating Taqdeer Award for its practices in employee welfare.

2017

Arabtec receives AED 1.46bn contract from wasl Asset Management for the construction of wasl Tower, along with a AED 353mn contract to build UAE Pavilion at Expo 2020.

2017

Arabtec completes the Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi.
