This project called for the construction of a 766,000 square metre general aviation terminal capable of hosting Boeing 767 and 747 aircraft. The terminal includes 46 additional departure gates, 96 airway bridges, 200 new counters, a luggage-handling system, five lounges for first- and business-class passengers, nearly 28,000 square metres of retail/food and beverage space, and a mosque with the capacity to accommodate 3,000 worshippers.

 

The project also included passenger lounges, a new concourse building with 25 additional passenger bridges and connector buildings linking the terminals, air bridges and movable gates, apron and taxiway modifications and extensions, electrical and mechanical systems and extension.
